Wet ‘n Wild Wednesday
I decided to be brave and take all four kids to a swimming party today. It was good. It was fun. Until Evie realized that she didn’t actually have to play in the little shallow area that I set her in. She saw “the guys” (Timmy and Ben) playing on a ledge that had water shooting up into the air and that was where she wanted to be. Did I mention that they were jumping off the ledge into the water?

It was then my job to keep her away from said ledge while holding a 20 pound baby and dodging wild children. It was awesome.
I did manage to get her away from the pool when lunch was ready. She found a little boy who was willing to play with her on the slip ‘n slide, so she was happy. After lunch, though, she found a poor mom whose youngest child is about 7 and this woman really wishes she could have another. Somehow she convinced this mom to watch her and entertain her in the pool while I sat with Violet in the shade. I think it might have been the not so silent sobbing while she tried to squeeze herself through the fence that may have clenched the deal.
Unfortunately Violet’s first taste of grass wasn’t so great
Have you ever noticed that Evie is one letter away from spelling evil? What does it mean that another mom pointed that out to me?
